ITV’s new mini series Playing Nice, starring James Norton and Niamh Algar, has been scheduled for 5th January. More on it below.
Playing Nice, ITV’s latest big drama series, plays with every parent’s worst nightmare. What if my kid was swapped at the hospital? The four part series stars James Norton and Niamh Algar as parents who find out they left the hospital with the wrong baby years ago. As they meet the parents of their biological son, things start going sideways as they so often do in these things.
Here’s a much more eloquent synopsis: Living a waking nightmare, Pete (James Norton) and Maddie (Niamh Algar) are jettisoned into the world of the other couple; Miles (James McArdle) and Lucy (Jessica Brown Findlay). At first it seems all four are agreed on a solution, but it soon becomes clear that hidden motives are at play. How far can each couple trust the real parents of their child – or even each other? As Pete and Maddie are stretched to breaking point, they realise they will stop at nothing to keep their family together.
The series has now been confirmed to premiere on ITV on the 5th January. You can binge all episodes on the same day on ITVX as a boxset or alternatively, Playing Nice will air its episodes every Sunday and Monday.
