Zack Snyderās passion project has been on his slate since 2011, but following this yearās Army Of The Dead, itās finally next in line.
Zack Snyderās certainly a busy guy of late. Having recut his
Justice League footage into a four-hour epic, heās also got the release of his zombie heist film inbound at Netflix. Thereāll presumably be sequels involved there too, as well as input required on other related projects such as the prequel movie,
Army Of Thieves. Then thereās the Arthurian epic he was talking up a month or two ago, as well as his planned version of Ayn Randās
The Fountainhead, which has reportedly been shelved for now.
Next then? It seems a smaller Snyder passion project may be on the way, an idea of his thatās been percolating away since 2011ās
Man Of Steel.
Horse Latitudes, previously titled
The Last Photograph, 'follows two men who are inspired by a photograph to travel to South America.ā
At the moment though, uncertainty regarding Covid has the entire project in a state of uncertainty. Says Snyder, āright now, weāre just waiting a little bit, because the hope is to shoot that movie in South America. Because Covid right now is pretty intense in that part of the world, so weāre just waiting for hopefully some relief in order to get up and make that one. Although I do have another thing that Iām working on right now. Hopefully, weāll see if that comes together. Because itās pretty crazyā.
What the ācrazyā other project may be, who knows? Weād certainly be interested in seeing Snyder do something smaller and more personal. Whether it happens though depends on the state of the world and the directorās increasingly busy slate. Weāll keep you posted as we hear more.
