Yellowjackets season 3 is still months away, but it looks like the cast just got a little more star-studded as Joel McHale joins the new season.
We’re still a while away from the new season of Yellowjackets, but the new season promises to be a doozy. Christina Ricci recently teased that the new season would be pretty brutal and we’ve now got our first guest star confirmed.
Joel McHale, last seen in The Bear, has joined the cast of the cannibalistic mystery show as reported by Deadline. His role is being kept under wraps as are most of the new season’s plot details. Season 2 ended on a shocking note, both in the past and the present, so we’re eager to see where the new season goes.
Yellowjackets follows a group of friends in two timelines. In the past, their football team is stranded in the wilderness after their plane goes down and they’re forced to do unspeakable things to survive while in the present, the group is still haunted by their past.
Both seasons of Yellowjackets have been critically acclaimed and the series is one of Showtime’s biggest shows to date. The mix of cannibalism, the supernatural and a strong ensemble cast have proved to be a winning combination and we can’t wait for another taste. The finale of season 2 aired all the way back in May 2023, so another season is long overdue, but it’s now the norm to wait several years in between seasons of TV shows.
Yellowjackets season 3 will air sometime in 2025, but we’ll let you know as soon as it has a solid run date.
