Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey 2 has a UK release date, DVD & Blu-ray too

The honey-heavy horror sequel is finally heading to UK screens in June, we’ve learned. More details on Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 below. 

Update, 26.4.: We’ve now learned that not only is Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey heading to cinemas on 7 June, it’ll also be available on digital, DVD and Blu-ray in the UK and Ireland on 1st July. Full details here.

We reported recently that Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey 3 was in the works. At the time, the second film in the franchise was already out in the UK but we were struggling to find any information about a UK release. 

It looks like Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey 2 is now heading to UK screens on the 7th June, courtesy of Altitude. Rhys Jake-Waterfield is back in the director’s seat for the sequel, too.

The first Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey, released in 2023, was critically maimed but made $5m at the global box office, which is particularly impressive since the film was made with a measly budget of $50, 000. 

It seems that the budget was upped for the second part, and surprisingly, it fared much better with the critics. While the first film has a critics score of three percent on Rotten Tomatoes, the sequel has climbed up to 55 percent. Rotten Tomatoes isn’t necessarily accurate, but it does give you an idea of the temperature of the room, or in this case, the cinema. 

Of course, the Winnie The Pooh films are only a small part of a growing, ambitious cinematic universe currently in the works. Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble, a team-up movie bringing together many childhood favourites with a horror twist, is reportedly heading to our screens next year.
