Will Poulter is joining the ensemble of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3, as he jumps aboard that Marvel screen universe.
Deadline is reporting that Will Poulter, the British actor, who has featured in
Detroit and
The Revenant, will play Adam Warlock in the upcoming
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3. The character, a perfect cosmic being, was teased at the end of the seriesā second film but is now confirmed to make his debut in James Gunnās final film in the series.
Production on the film is expected to begin next month. Poulter reportedly won the part in the face of stiff competition, that included
1917's George MacKay, to win the part. Marvel boss, Kevin Feige has said in the past that the character of Adam Warlock will be integral to the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the series expands further into the cosmic elements it has introduced thus far.
It certainly looks like great casting from where weāre sitting, with Poulter having shown off his dramatic chops in films like
Detroit whilst seeming equally at home in genre fare, like Netflixās mind-bending interactive
Black Mirror episode,
Bandersnatch.
The next
Guardians film was always looking fun, but seeing how Poulterās character will interact with the motley crew of space-faring adventurers is something we can happily look forward to.
