The animated Christmas favourite The Polar Express is coming to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK this November: more here.
Starring a digital Tom Hanks and directed by Robert Zemeckis,
The Polar Express proved to be a forerunner in the world of performance capture-style animation. And whilst there’s the unavoidable problem of dead eyes and uncanny valley in its visuals, the film’s spectacle and festive spirit nonetheless has made it something of a family Christmas favourite.
Warner Bros is saluting this fact by giving the film its 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray debut this winter, with a fresh disc release now penned in for November 7
th.
The package in this case includes a Blu-ray and a 4K disc, with previous extra features carried over on the format.
