Universal reveals final trailer for Halloween Ends

You can catch a glimpse of Jamie Lee Curtis’ final turn in Halloween Ends right here, as the last trailer for the movie lands. If there’s one thing Michael Myers is good at, it’s coming back. And if there’s one thing Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode is good at, it’s surviving those comebacks. It’s an intertwining helix of improbable feats that the warring duo have managed many times since their first encounter in 1978’s Halloween. The iconic horror monster and the archetypal ‘final girl’ are set for one more dance with Halloween Ends, the final film in the legacy Halloween series. Naturally, the film will be returning in time for this year’s spooky season, with the movie set for an October 14th release. Halloween Ends is the follow-up to 2021’s Halloween Kills, a film that leaned heavily into the legacy aspects of the series, whilst also navigating into gorier territory than we’d previously experienced. David Gordon Green returns to direct the third chapter of the modern trilogy  and it’ll be interesting to see how the filmmaker has been influenced by the more measured response to the brutal second film in his series. Green, along with other members of the production have spoken in the past about how provocative this final film is set to be, meaning it could end up being even more divisive than the previous movie. The film is being touted as Curtis’ final turn as Strode although it’s almost certain that it won’t be the last film in the series. We’ll find out the answers to some of these questions in less than a month, but until then here’s a synopsis and that trailer, should you want a final taste of the horrors to come… Four years after the events of Halloween Kills (2021), Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the spectre of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life.
