M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap will be available on digital from 16th September with a DVD and Blu-ray to follow. More details below.
M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap was like a breath of fresh air in a summer blockbuster season full of large scale comic-book films and very serious epics. Starring Josh Hartnett as a dad moonlighting as a serial killer, Trap was “deliciously goofy” and all the better for it.
Hartnett plays Cooper, who takes her daughter Riley (Ariel Donoghue) to see Lady Raven (Saleka) in concert. We quickly find out, however, that Cooper is also Butcher, a notorious serial killer who has his latest victim locked up, waiting to be, well, butchered. As it turns out, the entire concert is an elaborate operation designed to catch Cooper, leaving him desperately looking for an escape route.
If you missed the film in cinemas, worry not. Trap will be available to buy and rent digitally from 16th September. Following this, a DVD and Blu-ray release has been dated for 28th October. You can pre-order those right here, if you so wish.
If you’re a fan of bonus materials, the Trap Blu-ray comes with the following features:
· Setting the Trap: A New M Night Shayamalan Experience
· Saleka as Lady Raven
· Deleted Scenes ( Cooper Gets Stopped By SWAT / Riley Shows Lady Raven Her Room / Cooper Takes a Hostage and Slips Away)
· Extended Concert Scene: Where Did She Go
