Jon Hamm discovers a secret in Corner Office, and the trailer for the film has landed. More here.
From the maddening minutiae of Mike Judgeās wonderful Office Space to Charlie Kaufman and Spike Jonzeās Being John Malkovich, then thereās thehyperviolence of Mayhem and The Belko Experiment, all these films show that the humble office setting can inspire high variety of stories.
That brings us to Lionsgateās new comedy Corner Office. The synopsis reads as follows:
In this workplace comedy reminiscent of Office Space & āSeverance,ā misfit Orson (Jon Hamm) finds himself trapped in the absurdities of corporate life. As The Authorityās newest employee, Orson finds it difficult to connect with his enigmatic desk mate, Rakesh (Danny Pudi), or the rest of his colleagues. His alienation deepens when he discovers a room heās told doesnāt exist – a place that unleashes his true potential, leading to an ascent up the corporate ladder. Buoyed by his newfound confidence, Orson invites a receptionist (Sarah Gadon) into his sanctuary, sparking a climactic clash between the corporate world’s harsh realities and his own wild fantasies.
Christopher Heyerdahl, Allison Riley and Shawn Macdonald complete the cast.
Joachim Back makes his feature directorial debut from a screenplay by Ted Kupper.
Corner Office will be released on the 4th August.
