Adonis Creed is back for another bruising bout, and the first trailer for Creed III has just landed: see it here.
MGM has revealed the trailer for Creed III, which is due to make its walk to the ring on March 23rd of next year. The film will once again star Michael B Jordan as Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo Creed, the great friend and rival of Rocky Balboa. Although the character of Balboa ā Sylvester Stalloneās iconic creation ā wonāt be appearing in this installment, Jordan is following in the footsteps of Stallone by stepping up to to the directorās chair whilst also playing the title character.
Alongside Jordan, the film was scripted by Keenan Coogler and Zach Baylin based on a story treatment by Ryan Coogler, director of the first Creed film. Jonathan Majors, who is also set to be the main antagonist of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the next phase, will play Creedās nemesis, Damian Anderson.
Two other key characters from the series will return, in the form of Tessa Thompson as Adonis’ girlfriend Bianca, and Phylicia Rashad as his stepmother Mary Anne. The film itself looks set to explore a chapter of Adonisā past that comes back to haunt him. You can catch the trailer below ahead of the filmās release in March of next yearā¦
