Perhaps the very definition of a perfect elevator pitch, the trailer for the upcoming Cocaine Bear is here.
No need for fancy metaphorical or symbolic titles here. Cocaine Bear, directed by Elizabeth Banks and produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, is a film about a bear on cocaine that is set to rampage into cinemas on February 24th.
The project wrapped shooting all the way back in late 2021, with Ireland serving as a forest in the US state of Georgia. The darkly comic film boasts a really fun ensemble, including Keri Russell from The Americans, the late, great Ray Liotta, and Alden Ehrenreich who previously worked with Lord and Miller on Solo: A Star Wars Story. O’Shea Jackson from Straight Outta Compton and Jesse Tyler Ferguson of Modern Family will also appear.
It’s safe to suggest that not everybody on the list will survive the drug-fuelled rage of a 500 pound bear on a cocaine rampage.
The plot is described as following ‘an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converging in a Georgia forest where a 500-pound apex predator has ingested a staggering amount of the white powder and goes on a coke-fuelled rampage seeking more blow — and blood.’
If that’s not enough to get you to click on the trailer below then we don’t know what is. Cocaine Bear releases in cinemas in February courtesy of Universal.
