The story of three football managers ā Matt Busby, Jock Stein and Bill Shankly ā is to be told in a brand new documentary feature film.
There’s a growing market for feature documentaries surrounding footballing figures. Next month, Finding Jack Charlton arrives in cinemas and on disc, for instance. There are also feature documentaries on the likes of Arsene Wenger and Paul Gascoigne at varying stages of production.
And now? There’s The Three Kings, a new documentary telling the story of three iconic football mangers. Do not confuse it with the George Clooney-headlined movie of a similar name.
Matt Busby, Jock Stein and Bill Shankly were all born within 30 miles of each other in Scotland, and went on to have a huge impact on the game. Thatās what this one is about. The film, directed by Jonny Owen, will tell their story.
