The Super Mario Bros Movie is getting its UK disc release this summer, with a mix of DVD, Blu-ray, 4K disc and collector’s options.
Top of the box office charts for 2023, and by some distance, is
The Super Mario Bros Movie, the spiritual successor to the 1993 live action version. Sort of.
Birthed via a partnership between Universal Pictures, Illumination Entertainment and Nintendo, the animated hit has cruised past $1bn at the global box office, and it’s now set to hit physical media in the UK just in time for the school summer holidays.
Universal will be releasing the film on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK on 24
th July. For the avid collectors amongst you, there’s a special Tin Star collector’s packaging edition as well, that’s going to have the 4K disc in it. No idea of the pricing for that version at the moment,
but you can find more on it here. There’s a sporting chance it’s sold out already, potentially.
