The Northman heads to DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in July

The Northman heads from cinemas to disc in July, with UK release details of the DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray editions. Its box office performance hasn’t quite measured up to what parent studio Universal would have wanted, but the fact that Robert Eggers’ The Northman got through the Hollywood system with a decent budget is an achievement in itself. Now, it’s going to have another go at recouping the studio’s investment as it heads to home formats. The film, which is already available to buy via premium video on demand, is heading to DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray next. Its UK release date on all three formats has been marked as July 18th 2022, and we’re getting good-looking bonus features too. On top of a mix of featurettes and deleted/extended scenes, Eggers has contributed a commentary track to the release. That’s some 50 minutes of extras on top of that too.
