Robert Eggersā The Northman is getting a brand 4K collectorās edition physical media release this September: more here.
With director Robert Eggers deep into his planned Nosferatu movie, spare a moment – and possibly a few quid – for his most expensive and high profile film to date, The Northman.
The 2022 film stars Alexander Skarsgard, Nicole Kidman, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ethan Hawke, Bjork and Willem Dafoe, a collection of performers who don’t often come together. It didn’t exactly set the box office alight, but it did perform well on video on demand, and then on physical media. As such, Universal has now put together a limited edition collectors’ edition of The Northman, and it’s going to try and tempt you to buy it.
Featuring the film on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, as a well as presumably a Blu-ray in the package as well, the new release is limited to 2000 copies. It arrives in a Steelbook package, and 40 pages of production notes are thrown into the mix as well, along with a poster and some art cards.

The release date for the set is 9th September 2024, and supplies are already said to be drying up. If you want to get hold of a copy, it’s probably worth putting an order in relatively sharpish (although there’s a more modestly-priced 4K disc already out there too, if you’d prefer to get hold of that).
