The Nan Movie finally has a new release date

Catherine Tate and Matthew Horne will star in Nan The Movie, that’s heading to UK cinemas – in theory – this coming spring. Just before the pox hit us for the first time, Warner Bros was preparing to release the big screen movie spin-off for Catherine Tate’s Nan character. The foul-mouthed OAP was to sit at the heart of Nan: The Movie, and Tate has co-written the script for the film with Brett Goldstein. He knows a thing or two about being foul-mouthed as well. Josie Rourke, who directed Mary Queen Of Scots, has helmed the film, and it’s been finished for some time. It had been set for release in June 2020, but had disappeared off the release schedule with no sign of it being sent straight to streaming either. Well, now we now why. Warner Bros has been holding the film back for a cinema release, and it’s popped back up on the schedule. It’s currently listed for release in UK cinemas on March 25^th, although obviously everything is once again up in the air a bit. Still, we’ve not seen it on the release list for quite a while, so it’s the first new clue as to what Warner Bros’ plan for the movie is.
