The Seth Rogen-produced animated film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem now has a trailer full of ninja-themed hijinks.
A lot of announcements have been made recently about the new CGI-animated adaptation of everyoneās favourite ninja turtles. Seth Rogen is producing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, and The Mitchell Vs The Machines director Jeff Rowe is at the helm. Now the movie has a trailer that teases the youthful shenanigans the main characters are bound to get up to over the course of the film.
Rogen has previously told Collider that he wanted to hone in on the teenage aspect of the franchiseās protagonists, and it looks from the trailer like thatās exactly what the movie is going to do.
These are clearly ninja turtles who are in the early stages of their crime-fighting careers, and arenāt exactly experts with their throwing stars yet. Their inexperience is sure to create some of the movieās more comedic moments.
Voicing the turtles are Micah Abbey as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo and Brady Noon as Raphael. The groupās mentor, Splinter, will be voiced by the excellent Jackie Chan. Rogen will also have a voice role as villain Bebop, with John Cena playing his friend, Rocksteady.
Hereās the synopsis:
The film picks up as the Turtle brothers seek to win the hearts of New Yorkers by performing heroic acts they hope will get them accepted as normal teenagers. When they take on a mysterious crime syndicate with the help of new friend April O’Neil, they find themselves over their heads when a mutant army is unleashed.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem will be released in cinemas on 4th August.
