Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan heading back to cinemas for its 40th birthday

The finest Star Trek film is 40 years old this year – and it’s going to be heading back into UK cinemas in June. Paramount Pictures has just enjoyed a successful re-release of The Godfather trilogy in UK cinemas, with the first film in that particular saga celebrating its 50^th birthday. Now we learn that there’s another anniversary on the way that’s also going to be marked with a special cinema re-release. This year, arguably the best of the Star Trek movies – Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan – is celebrating its 40^th birthday. And we’ve discovered that this will be marked with a cinema re-release in the UK for the movie. The film’s had big screen outings over the years, but this looks to be a full re-release a la The Godfather, and will be able to be enjoyed on cinema screens right around the country. Paramount will be releasing the movie (again) on Friday 17^th June 2022. And whilst we don’t have further details beyond that at the moment, it’s a very well return to the big screen for a much-loved movie. More as we hear it – Khan you wait to see it?
