The second Shrek film is getting a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Steelbook release in the UK, ahead of the unveiling of Puss In Boots 2.
To the best of my knowledge, the original
Shrek film didn’t get a release on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK. It certainly landed on the format elsewhere in the world, but a cursory look around suggests it’s not readily available over here (apart from on import).
Maybe that’ll change with the news that the second film, the one known as, er,
Shrek 2, is heading to the format.
Thus far, it’s only been listed as a Steelbook 4K release in the UK, and it’s got a release date of December 26
th 2022. This is all timed to build up to the UK release of the new
Puss In Boots movie, that’s getting its UK release in early 2023.
No word of extra features on the
Shrek 2 release as things stand, but you can
