Ryan Reynolds has revealed that a Deadpool Christmas script exists ā and itās entirely separate from Deadpool 3.
Ryan Reynolds is currently doing the rounds promoting his new festive film
Spirited, the musical festive movie heās made with Will Ferrell. And during a chat with Big Issue, Reynolds mentioned another Christmas caper script he hopes to make, in the form of a
Deadpool film.
Reynolds said that he āwould love to see a song and dance number in a
Deadpool movie. Four years ago [
Deadpool co-writers] Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and I wrote a Christmas movie starring
Deadpool. But it got lost in the shuffle of Disney acquiring Fox and it never got madeā.
Thatās about the first weāve heard of it, and we wonder if it might be the last too.
Reynolds is currently
preparing to star alongside Hugh Jackman, who will reprise the role of Wolverine in
Deadpool 3. Shawn Levy, with whom Reynolds made
Free Guy and
The Adam Project, will direct from a screenplay by returning writers Reese and Wernick.
Given the fact that
The Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special is landing on Disney+ on Friday, a
Deadpool Christmas project might not be outside the realms of possibility though. Stranger things, right?
