Pixarās Turning Red might have been denied a cinema release, but it is coming to physical media ā with some extra features on board too.
The third Pixar movie in a row to debut on the Disney+ streaming service rather than in cinemas,
Turning Red enjoyed strong reviews when it landed just over a month ago. Once again, it’s hard not to feel a little deflated that a family movie as good as this wasn’t given a big screen release, but here we are. The expectation remains that Pixar’s next film,
Lightyear, will finally get them back into cinemas.
In the meantime, at least
Turning Red is getting a physical media release. Disney has listed the movie for DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK from May 2
nd.
Extras-wise, the Blu-ray and 4K packages will come with an audio commentary, a life of a shot featurette, and a build your own boy band feature. The DVD will at the least have the audio commentary, but not the other extra features.
The physical media release, in all three forms, is available to order now. You can
find out more information, and order yourself a copy, right here.
