Gird yourself for new details regarding a host of upcoming Paramount films, following the studioās investor call yesterday.
Paramount has announced a raft of information regarding its production slate, with news stretching as far as 2025. Whilst the big takeaway was undoubtedly the announcement of a new Star Trek film, thereās plenty more to chew on as the studio revealed much more about its upcoming plans.
Firstly, weāll be getting a third Sonic The Hedgehog movie. In fact, that oneās already in development, even though the second entry in the series doesnāt release until April. On top of that, the upcoming Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts marks the first film in what will now be a trilogy. So letās hope that first film is a good one (in the vein of Bumblebee) or thatās lots of hours of noisy (and presumably primal) robots that weāre going to have to endure.
Also announced was the next entry in the survival horror franchise, A Quiet Place. The third film in that series will arrive in 2025, although John Krasinskiās involvement has not yet been confirmed. Krasinski directed the first two, but is only producing the spin-off film thatās due to arrive in 2023. SpongeBob fans will also be happy with the news that another movie is on the way too, whilst Paramount also announced that its films will go straight to its own streaming service, in the US at least, following theatrical runs from 2024 onwards.
More on all of these projects as we hear it.
