Looks like Ryan Reynolds isnāt the only merc with a mouth in Marvelās latest ā Wolverine seems to have been turned into a real chatterboxā¦
The Deadpool movies arenāt exactly renowned for their contemplative silence. For most of his two outings so far, multiple characters have been telling Ryan Reynolds Wade Wilson he needs to shut up.
And it looks like his motor-mouth is spreading. In a press conference in advance of the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere next week, Hugh Jackman revealed one monologue contains more dialogue than some of the scripts for his previous outings in their entirety.
āHaving played Wolverine for 24 years now⦠The writers wrote this one monologue which has more countable words than Iāve had in an entire movie before as Wolverineā¦ā
Jackman was also pretty open about his reasons for returning to the character seven years after supposedly hanging up the claws for good in James Mangoldās Logan.
āI meant what I said when I said Iām done⦠I announced it before weād shot Logan, and about three days after that I saw Deadpool,ā he said.
āAbout 15 minutes into the film I was like: āOopsā. Then for the next four or five years I could see those two characters together. All I kept thinking about was 48 Hrs, The Odd Couple, Planes, Trains And Automobiles⦠I could see how these two characters could work.ā
The film also gave the The Greatest Showman star the chance to show a different side to his most famous role.
āMaybe itās something about being my age and this time of my life, and being with friends⦠I feel so invigorated playing the character again, and I think fans are going to see a whole different side to him, which Iām so excited about.ā
Deadpool & Wolverine arrives in UK cinemas 25th July.
