The Fighting With My Family duo Nick Frost and Lena Heady are set to play a married couple once more in Svalta, penned by Frost.
Nick Frost and Lena Heady are set to reunite as onscreen husband and wife once more in the upcoming Svalta, a thriller comedy that has been written by Frost. The pair previously appeared as a married couple in the terrific 2019 wrestling biopic, Fighting With My Family.
Svalta is set to shoot in Finland next year with the film following ‘an English family on their summer vacation to a remote Swedish island with a dark past. There, they discover that a serial killer is on the loose and the hostile locals have no interest in helping them.’
Steffen Haars and Flip van der Kuil will direct from a script by Frost, who said this about getting to work with Heady again: “Take a gentle English family and send them on holiday to a tiny Swedish island full of maniacs. Simple. Not so much Nuts In May. More ‘Nuts in Mayhem’. After working with Lena in Fighting with My Family I couldn’t imagine anyone else in the world I’d want to play Susan. So I was absolutely thrilled when I heard she’d not only read the script but she actually liked it enough to do me the great honour of saying yes and once again being my on-screen wife.”
It’s been a while since Frost penned a project, with 2014’s Cuban Fury and before that, the alien adventure comedy Paul being his film writing credits to date. Heady is set to make her directorial debut with Violet at some point, a project that was announced back in March. We’ll bring you more on Svalta as we hear it.
