Tom Cruise has been popping up all over the UK as Mission: Impossible 7 films – but he’s finally, for now, heading elsewhere.
Well, it’s been a whole lot of fun while it’s lasted. The Covid-interrupted shoot of Mission: Impossible 7 has been primarily based in the UK. In that time, it’s been in Derbyshire, popped by Birmingham’s New Street Station, popped by Yorkshire and been living at Warner Bros’ Leavesden Studios. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie and starring Tom Cruise, it’s the first of two new Mission: Impossible films shooting pretty much back to back.
And finally, the UK leg of this mammoth production is coming to an end. The final shots on British soil are picked up this Thursday, before heading off elsewhere in Europe to finish things off.
The film’s release date has recently changed, giving it a little bit more breathing room. It’s now due in cinemas in September 2022, following Paramount Pictures’ latest round of delays. Mission: Impossible 8 will follow in 2023.
