The man who managed The Beatles, and discovered lots of other acts too, is getting his story told on film in Midas man: more details here.
A feature film telling the story of Brian Epstein, the man who managed The Beatles, has begin filming, it’s been revealed. It goes by the name of Midas Man, and it’s directed by Jonas Åkerlund, the helmer of Lords Of Chaos.
The script for this one comes from the pen of Jonathan Wakeham, from a story by Brigit Grant. Playing Epstein in the movie is Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, with Emily Watson and Eddie Marsan as his parents, and Omari Douglas as Lonnie Trimble.
The movie will be shooting for 12 weeks, and the production will head to Liverpool and London as part of its UK shoot, with further filming taking place in America.
Trevor Beattie, Jeremy Chatterton, Kevin Proctor and Perry Trevers all produce. We don’t have a release date as of yet, but we can’t imagine the film will be ready until well into next year. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more on it.
