Michelle Pfeiffer has officially joined Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone spin-off Madison. More on the show below.
Kevin Costner might have left Yellowstone, but the franchise is only getting started. Creator Taylor Sheridan is currently working on a spin-off series, titled Madison, and Michelle Pfeiffer has joined the project as the series’ lead, as reported by Deadline.
The series has been in the works for a while now and previously went by the title 2024. Kurt Russell and Patrick J. Adams are also rumoured to be involved, but Pfeiffer is the first cast member to be officially announced.
“Michelle Pfeiffer is a remarkable talent who imbues every role with emotional depth, authenticity and grace,” Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global Co-CEO and President/CEO, Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios, said of Pfeiffer’s casting. “She is the perfect anchor to the newest chapter of the Yellowstone universe, Madison, from the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan.”
According to Deadline, the series will be “a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”
Yellowstone fans have been waiting for the second part of the fifth and final season of the Western and it’s finally due to arrive on our screens this November. Costner ruled himself out earlier this year due to commitments to his Horizon films.
Sheridan is also busy working on his next TV show, Landman, which is due to star Billy Bob Thornton.
More on Madison as we hear it.
