The film Road Rage will see Guardians of the Galaxy star Michael Rooker reunite with the director who launched his career.
The grim, disturbing power of Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer has not diminished at all in the thirty six years since its release. Starring Michael Rooker in his feature film debut, it followed the murderous exploits of the titular character, as he attempts to school his friend in the ways of the serial killer.
The film also launched the career of writer/director John McNaughton, who went on to helm an eclectic range of films including Mad Dog and Glory and cult classic Wild Things.
Now, the two men are reuniting to make Road Rage, which is described as a vigilante thriller about a man who only murders those who he thinks deserves to die. McNaughton said ““I’d wanted to work with Michael Rooker again since, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, but we never got the chance. Finally, I wrote a story that took the genre in a whole new direction. Michael Rooker as Stony; he drives a truck… and kills people. Stony is the ultimate serial killer… with a twist, and he’s going home now after twenty years to settle a score from the past”.
No release date has yet been announced, but we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
