Michael Douglas will co-star with his son Cameron in family drama Blood Knot, and the first details have landed.
Fathers and sons acting together is nothing new. From Ben and Jerry Stiller in four films, to Brendan and Domhnall Gleeson in Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire, it’s not too common, but a fun novelty when it happens. Now? It’s time for two Douglases to give it a go.
Blood Knot then will see Michael Douglas, play “a father who, in an attempt to reconnect with his estranged son, invites him to to Puerto Rico to compete in a father-son fishing competition”.
It’s an exciting mix of personnel behind the camera too, as Some Kind Of Wonderful director Howard Deutch is helming the film from a screenplay by Road House director Rowdy Herrington. All adapted from the novel Looking Through Water by Bob Rich.
Deutch said of the film that it is about “redemption, love, and forgiveness. About several generations of a family brought together and torn apart by mystery, murder, and true confessions”.
No other cast members have yet been confirmed, we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
