Hereās our original story⦠Already a movie you wouldn’t necessarily say is on the brief side, Marvel’s 2021 release Eternals, directed by Chloe Zhao, is about to get longer. The film is heading to Disney+ in the UK from January 12th, and will be on disc forms in February. At least one of those options, possibly all, looks like it’s going to give us an even longer version of the film. The cinematic release runs to 156 minutes. Now, the BBFC has classified a version of the film that runs for 174 minutes. If my maths GCSE holds up – and Mr Trigger would be proud – that’s an increase of 18 minutes. It’s not affected the certificate for the film, which remains a 12. And according to the BBFC listing, the film has been classified for both physical media and streaming. It might just be – don’t hold us to it – that we get the longer version as early as next week. It certainly exists. You can see the full details over at the BBFC, here. ā Thank you for visiting! It is an audio commentary and includes additional material about the making of the film. We are updating our website to reflect this.
