Margot Robbie is set to join Wes Anderson’s company of players for his next movie project, it has been revealed.
Margot Robbie will be taking on a supporting role in the next film to be made by Wes Anderson, it has been announced. Anderson has The French Dispatch releasing in October, following a delayed launch, but the director’s attention has already tuned to his next project which he is currently writing. The film will reportedly shoot in Spain and of course, contain a number of Anderson’s regular collaborators, including Adrien Brody, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton.
We can now add Robbie to the ranks of the cast too. The actor will join Tom Hanks as new members of Anderson’s coterie, and this marks another notable creative partnership for Robbie, who is on something of a roll when it comes to working with visionary directors. She can currently seen on screens in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, whilst she also recently wrapped production on an untitled film for David O Russell and is currently shooting Babylon alongside Brad Pitt for Damian Chazelle, not to mention her upcoming Barbie collaboration with Greta Gerwig.
It’s exciting casting news and we’re interested to hear more details about Anderson’s film as we get them. As for Robbie, as a successful actor and producer, it can be only a matter of time before she puts all of this experience of working with directors of note into practice and helms a film herself… or writes a really great memoir. Personally, we’re crossing our fingers for both.
