Films such as Cop Land, Spy Kids, Sin City, From Dusk Til Dawn and City Of God are all getting fresh disc releases in the UK.
Now owned by a group that includes Paramount Pictures, the Miramax label is long free of the claws of the Weinstein brothers. There’s not much in the way of film output coming from the company anymore, but there’s an enviable catalogue of films that are being made freshly available.
Thatās down to a deal that was struck back at the end of 2019 for Paramount to distribute those films again on home formats around the world. Now, on February 1
st 2021, a whole host of them arrive on a mix of DVD and Blu-ray in the UK.
The pricing for these are £5.99 for DVDs and £7.99 for Blu-rays, and many of them have been unavailable on disc for a little while. They include films by the likes of Kevin Smith, Robert Rodriguez, Anthony Minghella and – well, perhaps it’s best we just show you the list.
This is everything that’s now available for preorder. We suspect you’re not getting much in the way of extra features, and can’t confirm if the old supplements are being ported over from previous releases. Still, when you have the chance to – checks list – buy
Highlander IV on disc again, who’s complaining?
