CG artist Jaakko Saari shows off an amazing video clip of a photo-realistic rail station created using Unreal Engine 5.
Jaakko Saari, the head of CG visualisation company Sonagraf, has shown off an incredible work in progress demo of a JR rail station recreated in Unreal Engine 5.
The demo shows just how powerful Unreal Engine 5 is – the reflections on puddles are particularly impressive. If you didn’t know it was created on a computer, you could easily mistake the short clip for a video rather than something made with a game engine.

We’re unlikely to see anything at this level 0f detail in a video game anytime soon, but the demo is an impressive showcase of just how powerful Unreal Engine 5 can be. Saari himself says he doesn’t do game design, and instead mostly works with film and TV advertising.
