Apparently, there are still some bad guys out there who havenāt yet faced Liam Neesonās wrath: hereās the Blacklight trailer.
Thereās a line in the trailer for the upcoming Liam Neeson where the actor says āif you can name it, Iāve probably done it,ā and for those of us whoāve seen Neeson work his way through thousands of bad guys by this point, we can probably believe it too.
Blacklight, released by Open Road Films and directed by Mark Williams, sees Neeson play āTravis Block, a freelance government fixer and a dangerous man whose assignments have included extracting agents out of deep-cover situations. When Block discovers a shadowy program called Operation Unity is striking down ordinary citizens for reasons known only to Block’s boss, FBI chief Robinson (Aidan Quinn), he enlists the help of a journalist (Emmy Raver-Lampman), but his past and present collide when his daughter and granddaughter are threatened.ā
The film is slated for a February 11th release in the US, although exact UK release details are yet to be confirmed.
Blacklight was the subject of a high-profile lawsuit earlier last year when the filmās original writer, Nick May, took the filmās credited writer, Mark Williams ā the Ozark creator ā to court over the latter assuming full story and screenplay credits for the film. Looking at the current trailerās credits, the pair now seem to be sharing credit, which suggests the matter has been resolved.
The upcoming film is one of two Neeson-led action thrillers arriving in early 2022, the second being Memory, which co-stars Guy Pearce and Monica Bellucci, and arrives in April.
