Amazon Studios’ The Burial sees Oscar winners Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones star as attorney and client – here’s the trailer.
Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones star in The Burial, a courtroom drama from Amazon Studios. Foxx plays the attorney of Jones’ O’Keefe, who runs a funeral home. When a handshake deal goes wrong, he hires Gary (Foxx) to save his family business from being taken over by a huge corporation. The two don’t initially get along, but their case might end up doing much more than just saving O’Keefe’s business and earning a payout.
Jurnee Smollett plays the company’s attorney – and she has quite a reputation. Mamadou Athie, Pamela Reed, Bill Camp and Alan Ruck also star. The Burial is the follow-up to director Maggie Betts’ feature debut Novitiate, which was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. Betts also co-wrote The Burial's screenplay with Doug Wright.
The Burial is getting a limited run in cinemas from 6th October, and is streaming on Prime Video on 13th October.
