An American remake of Speak No Evil is on the way, the first cast members have been confirmed.
Speak No Evil is one of the most provocative, chilling and downright nihilistic horror films of recent years. Provoking much discussion about its dark content, the Danish film is now being remade in the US.
The original film followed a Dutch family who go to stay with another family they met on holiday. To say any more would spoil it, but suffice to say it definitely earns its notorious reputation.
The remake is set to star James McAvoy and Mackenzie Davis.
James Watkins will write and direct for Blumhouse and Universal. Watkins has form in psychological horror, he was responsible for the terrifying
Eden Lake. There’s a film worth seeking out.
