Jackie Brown is heading back to cinemas for its 25th birthday

Quentin Tarantino’s third film as director, Jackie Brown, is making its way back to UK cinemas later this year. The third film – at least as director – from Quentin Tarantino was something of a sidestep for him at the time it was released. In fact, as the sole adaptation in his canon of work, it remains something of an outlier. And for many the movie in question – Jackie Brown – remains his best film. It stars, of course, Pam Grier in the title role, with a supporting cast that includes Samuel L Jackson, Robert Forster, Bridget Fonda, Robert De Niro and Michael Keaton. The story is adapted from a book by Elmore Leonard, with Tarantino as usual directing and writing the screenplay. To celebrate its 25^th birthday, Park Circus will be re-releasing the movie into UK cinemas, if you’ve never had the pleasure of it on the big screen. The date for the re-release has been set on Friday 16^th September, and the plan is for a smattering of screens around the country.
