J.K. Simmons and Bonnie Hunt have joined Dwayne Johnson in Christmas comedy Red One, as it begins production.
Here’s some casting we can get behind. The great, Oscar-winning J.K. Simmons will play Santa alongside Bonnie Hunt as Mrs Claus opposite Dwayne Johnson in
Red One. This is the upcoming festive film that we’re guessing is being prepared for the end of next year.
Plot details are still being kept under wraps, but we do know that it will also star Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, Kristofer Hivju, Nick Kroll, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, and Wesley Kimmel.
The film will see Johnson reunite with
Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle director Jake Kasdan, working from a screenplay by
Fast and Furious scribe Chris Morgan.
There are no dates for this one, though we do know it will be released via Amazon Prime.
