Legal rumblings have revealed the existence of new I Am Legend, Ready Player One and Where The Wild Things Are movies, amongst others.

The Matrix: Resurrections continues to rumble. Whilst Warner Bros is
disputing that it ever promised the film a theatrical release, court filings have revealed that the production partners have a number of other high-profile films in development, although the status of these projects now seems to be an additional matter of contention.
Village Roadshow is now claiming that Warner Bros is now attempting to freeze it out of several in-development projects it claims to share the rights to. The projects include some heavy-hitters that are, according to Village Roadshow’s claim, being shepherded towards Warner Bros’ HBO Max platform to make the company billions of dollars in market value, whilst devaluing its production partner’s stake in each franchise.
The films themselves are enticing projects: a(nother) remake of
I Am Legend, Ready Player One, Where The Wild Things Are, Yes Man and
Sherlock Holmes, with at least some of those projects set to go straight to HBO Max in the US, according to Village Roadshow’s claims.
This dispute seems to have become far more acrimonious than Warners’ previous legal battle with Legendary, another longtime production partner, over the release strategy for
Godzilla Vs. Kong. Whether a settlement can be reached here remains unclear, but with so many huge franchises on the line, neither company is going to want to lose this case, and so eventually, a financial arrangement is surely likely.
