The movie stars Sofia Boutella as Kora, ‘as a mysterious woman who helps organise the peaceful residents of a planet to fight back against an authouritarian government.’ Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Staz Nair, Michiel Huisman, Charlie Hunnam, E. Duffy and Djimon Hounsou also feature. Oh yeah, and Sir Anthony Hopkins plays a robot called Jimmy who we already suspect may be our favourite character.
There are two films on the way, with Snyder having shot them both back-to-back. Part one is titled A Child of Fire, while part two is called The Scargiver. The first part of Rebel Moon debuts on Netflix on December 22nd this year, while part two debuts on April 19th 2024. Snyder wasn’t just hijacking Gamescom to troll video game fans with presentations about his movies either. He justified his appearance by announcing that Rebel Moon will get an accompanying video game too, set straight after the events of the two films. The title will be a co-operative or solo game and will allow players to pick their own rebel to take on the Empi…., sorry, ‘authoritarian government’.
