Doctor Sleep features ‘strong bloody violence’ and a sizeable running time, it’s been confirmed.
You can’t say you don’t get your money’s worth where adaptations of Stephen King books are concerned. Just over a month since It: Chapter Two managed to clock in at nearly three hours long, we now learn that Doctor Sleep – which heads to cinemas at the end of the month – is 151 minutes and 48 seconds long itself.
The film is based on King’s follow-up novel to The Shining, and the cast includes Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson, Jacob Tremblay, Kyliegh Curran and Bruce Greenwood. The excellent Mike Flanagan has directed the movie.
It’s gone through the workings of the British Board Of Film Classification too, with the BBFC bestowing a 15 certificate on the film. It’s earned that for “strong bloody violence, gore, horror, threat, language”.
Doctor Sleep arrives in cinemas on October 31st.
