Marvelās not brilliantly received Eternals film will be heading to Disney+ in January, with a physical media release likely around the same time.
With Spider-Man: No Way Home now in cinemas, the fourth Marvel Cinematic Universe release in just over six months, Disney has confirmed when it’s sending the third of those films into our homes.
Chloe Zhao’s
Eternals, which is still playing in cinemas, will be arriving on the Disney+ streaming platform on January 12
th 2022. The film hasn’t been the best received of Marvel’s films, although the box office has held up well enough (at least by standards of the pandemic era). Whether there’s more love for it when it arrives in homes remains to be seen.
We’re expecting Disney to pull its usual trick with the physical media release of the film too. It’s certain it’ll be arriving on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, but Disney announces films on those formats just days before they finally arrive, as it seeks to prioritise its Disney+ service instead. Our guess is the physical media release will follow the week commencing January 17
th, but that’s us just playing guesswork.
The one definite here is that January 12
th Disney+ debut for the movie. We’ll update on a physical media release as we hear it.
