AppleTV+ has unveiled the first teaser trailer for Alfonso Cuarón’s upcoming TV series. Watch the Disclaimer* trailer here.
Like many filmmakers now, Alfonso Cuarón is trying his hand at a TV show. Disclaimer* is set to premiere on AppleTV+ later this year and the streaming service has unveiled the first teaser trailer for the show.
Take a look at the Disclaimer* trailer below.
It doesn’t give us much, but this is only a teaser trailer, meant to, well, tease.
Disclaimer* stars Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen, Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Hoyeon. The series is written and directed by Cuarón, based on Renée Knight’s acclaimed novel of the same name. As well as having a pretty starry cast, Disclaimer* counts Emmanuel Lubezki and Bruno Delbonnel as directors of photography, so it’s guaranteed to look phenomenal. Cuarón, Blanchett and Knight are all executive producing.
Here’s the official synopsis to help decipher what the series is actually about: Acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett) built her reputation revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. When she receives a novel from an unknown author, she is horrified to realize she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets.
As Catherine races to uncover the writer’s true identity, she is forced to confront her past before it destroys both her own life and her relationships with her husband Robert (Sacha Baron Cohen) and their son Nicholas (Kodi Smit-McPhee).
Disclaimer* consists of seven episodes and the first two will premiere on AppleTV+ on 11th October with weekly episodes to follow. The series will have a glitzy world premiere at this year’s Venice Film Festival.
