Dev Patel’s directorial debut Monkey Man is getting the full physical media treatment in the UK: more details here.
Dev Patel’s directorial debut, Monkey Man, appeared in cinemas earlier this year, having had a bit of a journey to get there. Originally a project that was being backed by Netflix, the streaming giant opted to pull the plug on the movie, leaving the film in limbo. In stepped Jordan Peele, who brought the project in under his umbrella at Universal Pictures, and a film that was originally destined for streaming was upgraded to a full cinema release.
It thus landed in cinemas earlier this year, and now Universal is giving Monkey Man the full physical media treatment as well. The movie has been confirmed for release in the UK on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.
The release date for the film on physical media has been revealed as 8th July 2024. You can find more information on the release, and order a copy, right here.
The release comes with over 50 minutes of additional features, including this little lot…

But when he finds a way to rise up and infiltrate his city’s corrupt elite, he kicks off an explosive campaign for retribution to settle the score with the men who took everything from him as a boy.
