Actor David Harewood goes behind the camera for boxing dram Benn/Eubank, and the cast for the film has come together.
David Harewood, who has achieved huge success as an actor in the likes of Homeland and Supergirl, is stepping behind the camera for the first time to chronicle a legendary fight.
The film, currently entitled Benn/Eubank, will examine the legendary 1990 match between British boxers Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn. David Jonsson and Joshua Maynard will play Eubank and Benn respectively, while Nathalie Emmanuel will play Sharon Benn. O-T Fagbenle has also been cast as Ambrose Mendy, and Harewood himself will play Adonis, Eubank’s boxing mentor.
The script has been penned by Daniel Harris, Kieron Hawkes and Belinda Joanne Ampah and producing is Leo Pearlman and Heather Greenwood for production company Fulwell 73
