Jodie Foster stars in David Fincherās Panic Room, which is making its 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray debut in the UK next March.
Years after it was first said to be in the works, David Fincher’s 2002 thriller Panic Room is finally set to make its 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray debut in early 2025. It follows the confirmation that we’re finally getting Seven as well in January.
Panic Room stars double Academy Award-owner Jodie Foster, Kristen Stewart, Oscar winner Forest Whitaker and Jared Leto. The latter of which, lest we forget, also has won an Oscar.
Arguably the most commercial thriller of its type Fincher has made in his career, the movie was a sizeable box office hit on its original release, and the 4K edition comes with Fincher’s approval too.
In the box – and it’s currently only available for order in Steelbook form – you get the new 4K disc and a Blu-ray as well. The Blu-ray hosts the collection of extra features, that are being ported over from previous releases. In fairness, it’s a huge collection of supplements too, including three commentary tracks, and hours of documentaries and featurettes. Just like the old days, in fact.
The only downside to the release is the cover artwork, but that may be a minority review. That notwithstanding, Panic Room is arriving on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK on 3rd March 2025.
You can find more information, and order yourself a copy, right here.
We’ll leave you with the synopsis for the film…
Meg Altman (Jodie Foster) and her daughter, Sarah (Kristen Stewart), play a deadly game of cat and mouse with three intruders — Burnham (Forest Whitaker), Raoul (Dwight Yoakam) and Junior (Jared Leto) — during a brutal home invasion. But the panic room into which they escape is the very place that holds what the intruders are desperately seeking.
And don’t forget too that Fight Club is said to be on the way soon as well…
