2005ās Constantine, starring Keanu Reeves, lands on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK in February 2025. More here.
We’ve known for a little while now that Warner Bros had intended to mark the 20th birthday of the Constantine movie with a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray debut for the film at some point in 2025. Now we have the confirmation of just when to expect it.
The studio has inked in a release of 17th February 2025 for the 4K disc. You can find the listing for it and order yourself a copy right here.
It looks like we’re going to get two discs in the box, although we’ve not got absolute confirmation of that. We’re hearing, but don’t hold us to it, that it’s going to be a 4K disc, and a Blu-ray that primarily brings across previous extra features.
There’s definitely going to be a pair of commentary tracks, with director Francis Lawrence and producer Akiva Goldsman on one of them. Writers Kevin Brodbin and Frank A Cappello are on the other. One of the many featurettes listed is entitled ‘Two Decades Of Damnation’, which does suggest that there’s a new extra feature or two amidst the extensive list of additional features. You also get 13 deleted scenes and an alternate ending for your money.
The film stars Keanu Reeves of course, and it marked the directorial debut of Francis Lawrence. Now best known for his four The Hunger Games movies, he went from Constantine to I Am Legend two years later. Not a bad start.
There’s also a special Steelbook 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray of Constantine that went up for preorder earlier this year and has long sold out. The more modestly-priced standard edition is up for preorder now.
We’ll leave you with the synopsis…
Just beneath the streets of modern-day Los Angeles lies a world of demons and angels. Globetrotting misfit and renegade occultist John Constantine (Keanu Reeves), a man who has literally been to hell and back, enters this world to help a skeptical policewoman investigate the mysterious suicide of her twin sister in Constantine.
