The new Scream film will be with us at the start of 2022, it’s been confirmed, and Neve Campbell is the latest to rejoin the series.
Well, after weeks of rumours, it’s all official now. Neve Campbell is joining the returning ensemble for the latest chapter of the big screen Scream series.
Billed as a ‘relaunch’ of the franchise in the official press blurb that’s now been sent out, Campbell returns to the cast alongside other returnees David Arquette and Courtney Cox. New additions to the Scream ensemble are Jack Quaid, Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega.
It’s been confirmed that the shoot of the film will take place in the Wilmington area of North Carolina in the US, and the official release date has been announced as January 14th 2022.
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who helmed the wonderful Ready Or Not, are directing this one. The script has been penned by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. Original Scream scribe Kevin Williamson is amongst the executive producers of the project.
