Appleās planned big budget romantic comedy Project Artemis seems to be in a rather fluid state right now.
Former Marvel co-stars Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans wonāt be teaming up once more as was originally planned with the already-announced film,
Project Artemis. Apple TV+ reportedly paid a premium to secure the rights in a deal apparently costing more than $100 million, but the project is already looking significantly different to the one that was announced just a couple of months ago.
Firstly,
Ozark‘s Jason Bateman will no longer be directing and producing under his Aggregate Films label. Bateman left the project in early June due to creative differences. He will be replaced in the directorās chair by Greg Berlanti. Whilst Berlanti has signed up, producers hasnāt yet secured a leading man to replace Evans, who has also departed the project. When Berlanti came on board, the schedule was reworked, meaning Evans could no longer feature.
Channing Tatum is reportedly in talks to star opposite Johansson, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
The film is supposedly going to be āa romantic comedy set against the backdrop of the 1968 Apollo 11 moon launchā although little else is known about it at this point.
Johansson will produce via her company These Days and the screenplay is written by Rose Gilroy. No release window has yet been confirmed. Weāll bring you more on this one as we hear it.
