Micheal Waldron, the Loki and Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness scribe, will be penning the conclusive entry in the MCUās next grand saga.
According to
Deadline, Marvel Studios has decided upon its lead writer for the hugely-anticipated
Avengers: Secret Wars. The film, which will cap off the Marvel Cinematic Universeās sixth phase and likely end the current crop of ongoing storylines, will be penned by Michael Waldron.
That name will be familiar to Marvel fans already, with Waldron having served as writer and producer on the Disney+ series,
Loki, whilst also writing this yearās
Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.
The studioās plans for the future are taking a clearer form now with
Jeff Loveness and
Destin Daniel Cretton already having been announced as the writer and director of the preceding
Avengers film,
The Kang Dynasty.
Avengers: Secret Wars will be based on a giant comic book event from the 1980s that was infamously created just to sell toys, but ended up becoming a kind of blueprint for so many of the big annual crossover stories that Marvel Studios has drawn its key ideas from in the decades since.
As itās done with
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Marvel Studios has elected to stay in house with this choice and itās likely it will do the same with its choice of director too, whenever that becomes public. Whenever we hear that news, you can be sure weāll let you know. Mind you, some other websites might have the same idea too, and also report the news. You never know.
